MainnetWallet

How to buy

Three steps from nothing to your first token on Captain Hook. You need a wallet and some ETH on Robinhood Chain; the trade itself takes a minute.

Step 1 · Get a wallet

Robinhood Wallet works with Robinhood Chain as it is. Any Ethereum wallet works too, like MetaMask or Rabby, on your computer or your phone.

If your wallet is on another network, the swap card's button says Switch to Robinhood Chain, and your wallet adds the network if it doesn't have it yet. To add it yourself:

Network name
Robinhood Chain
Chain ID
4663
RPC URL
https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com
Currency
ETH
Explorer
https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com

Step 2 · Get ETH onto Robinhood Chain

Robinhood Chain is separate from your Robinhood account: ETH you hold in the Robinhood app isn't on it. Send ETH to your own wallet first, then move it across with a bridge.

  • Relay ↗Seconds, from Ethereum and many other chains.
  • Across ↗Seconds, from Ethereum and many other chains.
  • Arbitrum bridge ↗The official bridge, from Ethereum. About 10 minutes in; taking ETH back to Ethereum takes 7 days.

Trading fees on Robinhood Chain (gas) are paid in ETH and cost little, but keep some back so you can sell later. These are the routes Robinhood lists in its own docs ↗. Nobody is giving away an airdrop or a bridge reward: sites that offer one are scams, and Captain Hook never asks for your recovery phrase.

Step 3 · Buy on Captain Hook

  • Find a token on Discover, or paste an address into Scan to check it first.
  • Read its rules. Every token page lists its blocks, its fees and its trust score, and they can't change after launch.
  • Connect your wallet, pick an amount, and look at the line under it: the fee, any tax and the price impact, before you confirm.
  • Confirm in your wallet. The tokens arrive in seconds, and Add to wallet puts them in your wallet's list.

In a token's first seconds or minutes, its launch rules may cap how much anyone can buy each second or add a launch fee. If a buy is refused for that, a smaller one or a moment later goes through. Selling is the same card's Sell side.
